Sundays With Nona (feat. Molly Raben & Nat Harvie)

This installment of Sundays With Nona will celebrate keys in all forms. First, Molly Raben will perform a psychedelic set of original organ compositions. Then, Nat Harvie will perform their songs accompanied by Raben on the organ and Nona Invie on piano. A piano-focused cassette DJ set by Invie will follow. Tickets available HERE

Nat Harvie (they/them) is a Minneapolis-based musician, producer, and audio engineer whose work bridges the intimate and the expansive, folding experimental textures into vivid, emotionally incisive songwriting. Originally emerging from Duluth’s DIY scene, Harvie has since developed a singular voice in the Midwest’s underground music community, producing and collaborating with artists including Alan Sparhawk, Cole Pulice, Andrew Broder, and Nona Invie.

Harvie’s latest album, New Virginity, marks a bold evolution in their sound, melding ambient sensibilities with raw lyrical clarity and haunting vocal performances. Released in 2024 via Boiled Records, the record threads personal transformation with sonic exploration, pulling from their deep background in the experimental and pop traditions. Now living and working in North Minneapolis, Harvie continues to shape the Twin Cities’ musical landscape as both an artist and producer.

Molly Raben is an organist based in Minneapolis. She weaves patterns of nature, light, and the unseen into sonic meditations and improvisations on the organ. Her solo record of organ improvisations, In the Kingdom of Flowers, will be available this July via Pennsylvania-based label Love’s Devotee. She also writes and performs devotional songs as Mary Grace.

Nona Invie is a singer/composer based in Minneapolis who has worked with a range of musical projects, including folk/Americana band Dark Dark Dark, electronic trio RONiiA, and the choral ensemble Anonymous Choir. Their solo work layers acoustic piano with synth instruments, creating an ethereal landscape to get lost in.

Sundays With Nona (feat. Enhancement & Dungeon Synth Sunday Crew)

Synthesizers will rule this installment of Sundays With Nona! Experience atmospheric synths from Enhancement (Ben Babbitt, LA) and synth-heavy covers of such artists as Julee Cruise and Enya by Nona Invie. A DJ set by Dungeon Synth Sunday Crew will follow. Tickets available HERE

Ben Babbitt is a Los Angeles–based musician, producer, and composer who makes experimental ambient music using synthesizers and live instruments. He is known for creating the score for the acclaimed video game Kentucky Route Zero and the soundtrack for the film Paris Window. His site-specific performance Overflows for four vocalists and quadraphonic electronics was presented at the Getty Museum in 2019. His music dwells in a hypnagogic contemporary noir lullaby, full of lingering dread and low lights. Electronics, strings, and percussion swoon and seethe in mirages of dreams, delirium, romance, and menace. It’s the stuff of warped romanticism and equally warped contemplation

Dungeon Synth Sunday Crew is a collective of avid music lovers who host a monthly dungeon synth music night at Little Tijuana. The collective also hosts and DJs at dungeon synth shows around the Twin Cities. Their ethereal, dark synth tunes will have you feeling like you’re tending to a gnome garden, battling the dragon lord, and sharing steins of ale at the local tavern.

Nona Invie is a singer/composer based in Minneapolis who has worked with a range of musical projects, including folk/Americana band Dark Dark Dark, electronic trio RONiiA, and the choral ensemble Anonymous Choir. Sundays With Nona (feat. Silversmith Ep release)

Silversmith will bring her luminous pop noir to life in celebration of the release of her “Beautiful” EP. With lush, intricate vocals, Silversmith’s music spins up exquisite, immersive worlds to enter and leave changed by. The evening will also feature DJ sets as bookends plus a special Silversmith mini-set in collaboration with Nona Invie. Tickets available HERE

Silversmith (Margot Bassett Silver) is a vocalist and songwriter based in Minneapolis. She has toured internationally with Emily Johnson/Catalyst and has performed off Broadway and in Meredith Monk’s Songs of Ascension at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Before 2020, Silver had spent most of her life making interdisciplinary performance (that always involved singing); she followed the beautiful, unpredictable stream of creativity more solely towards music during the pandemic. She released her first album as Silversmith, soft skills, in 2022 and released an EP called Beautiful in late 2024. Her voice can be heard on the theme song of the podcast Feminist Files, which traces the origins of Title IX. She is a parent, a tarot enthusiast, a student of grief, and a lover of beauty in all forms.

Sundays with Nona (Feat. Isa Gagarin and Walt Mcclements)

The first installment of Nona Invie’s June residency will feature atmospheric music from Isa Gagarin and Walt McClements (LA) as well as an ambient DJ set by Nona. Tickets available HERE

First, in an experimental poetry-and-music collaboration between Isa Gagarin and Nona Invie, Gagarin will tell the story of I Hagan Sirena (The Daughter of Sirena), an imaginary descendent of a character in a Chamorro folktale. Incorporating poetry, traditional kantan Chamorita songs, and oceanic instruments—including shells and sand—Gagarin and Invie will invite the audience to witness the past and present colliding and the endangered language of Chamorro being brought to life. Then, Walt McClements will use processed accordion to continue the ambient soundscape. An ambient cassette DJ set by Invie will follow.

Isa Gagarin is an artist based in Minneapolis, MN (Mni Sóta Makoce). Working in painting and drawing, Gagarin transforms elements of the Pacific islands, ocean, and sky into a poetic visual language. In 2020, Gagarin began studying her maternal heritage language, Chamorro, which is endangered due to the U.S. government’s 50-year ban of its use in schools, workplaces, and other public spaces. Learning Chamorro inspired Gagarin to experiment with storytelling as a way to express her perspective and reconnect to her birthplace of Guam. She received an MFA in painting and printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University and earned her BFA in painting from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Walt McClements is an accordionist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer based in Los Angeles. His solo compositions focus on processed accordion, creating patient and emotional meditations that nod to drone and ambient music. His debut record, A Hole in the Fence, was released in 2021 on American Dreams and utilized a palette of accordions processed through pedals to create glacial soundscapes and odes to hidden worlds. On his latest record, On a Painted Ocean (Western Vinyl), he expands his sonic tools to include lush synths, droning pipe organs, and spirited horns, creating a vibrant journey from solitary stillness to community exuberance. The record also follows last year’s Rain on the Road—a collaborative album with harpist Mary Lattimore—which was released on Thrill Jockey.
